As in the case of a permanent residence card, obtaining a Polish Card also requires showing its connection with Polishness in the form of a knowledge of Polish speech, tradition and culture. The situation is analogous, except that in the case of the Polish Card, your consul will take care of your case.

If you have not had contact with Polish culture so far and you do not know much about Poland except that “grandfather was Polish”, then going to talk to the Polish Card you reduce your chances for a positive examination of the application almost to zero. Its Polish origin is demonstrated by the knowledge of the Polish culture of speech and tradition, the lack of this knowledge is the basis for refusal to grant a permanent residence permit.

Reporting to us in good time, you have the opportunity to prepare for this key conversation in the process of applying for the Pole Card. Through a series of multimedia presentations (drawn up on the basis of questions that are asked at the Consulate) we will bring you closer to the history, geography and culture of Poland. The course consists of five 60 minute lessons, after which you will go with a calm head to meet with the Consul.
